Match Report: Leeds 3-1 Nottingham Forest
The “relegation six-pointer” was dominated by Daniel Farke’s side, who took control with two goals in just four minutes during the first half.
Opening Goal (26′): Jayden Bogle broke the deadlock, latching onto a pinpoint through-ball from Ilia Gruev to slide a low finish past Forest debutant goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
Double Delight (30′): Noah Okafor quickly doubled the lead, tapping in from close range after James Justin’s initial shot was blocked. This ended a 16-game goal drought for the Swiss forward.
Milestone Strike (49′): Dominic Calvert-Lewin effectively sealed the points early in the second half, cleverly using his chest to divert another Gruev cross into the net. It was his 10th league goal of the season, making him the first Leeds player to hit double figures this campaign.
Consolation (86′): Forest substitute Lorenzo Lucca, a January signing from Napoli, headed home a late goal on his debut to deny Leeds a clean sheet.
