KingMakers, a technology and entertainment company, has announced its title sponsorship of The Afara Initiative’s flagship programme, The Bridge Fellowship, for its 2026 cohort.
The partnership marks the fourth time KingMakers is supporting the fellowship, which is set to welcome its largest student intake since its launch.
The 2026 cohort will begin the fellowship in August, with participants undergoing leadership development and training designed to prepare them for professional and community leadership.
The Bridge Fellowship focuses on developing young Nigerian leaders through an innovative curriculum that combines workshops, mentorship sessions and real-world projects.
According to KingMakers, its support will enable the programme to expand its reach and provide more young leaders with opportunities for personal and professional development.
Gossy Ukanwoke, Managing Director of KingMakers, said the company was pleased to continue its partnership with The Afara Initiative.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Afara Initiative for a fourth time as the title sponsor for The Bridge Fellowship,” he said.
Ukanwoke said KingMakers believes technology and education can play an important role in driving positive change.
“By supporting The Bridge Fellowship, we are investing in the future leaders of Nigeria and empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed to create a brighter future for our country,” he added.
The 2026 fellows will receive training in leadership, critical thinking and the understanding of wider socioeconomic trends.
The programme will also expose participants to real-world challenges, helping them develop the knowledge and skills needed to create lasting impact in their communities.
Lara Rabiu, Founder and CEO of The Afara Initiative, expressed appreciation to KingMakers for its continued support.
“We are incredibly grateful to KingMakers for their generous support,” she said.
According to Rabiu, the partnership will help the organisation reach more young leaders through the 2026 programme.
“With KingMakers’ backing, we are confident that the 2026 cohort will achieve great success and make significant contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development,” she added.
The partnership highlights the role of private-sector organisations in supporting youth development and leadership initiatives in Nigeria.
Both KingMakers and The Afara Initiative said they remain committed to creating opportunities that can contribute to positive social change and Nigeria’s development.
