Wema Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of Nigeria’s financial technology sector by strengthening its partnership with fintech companies and other players in the digital financial services industry.
The bank hosted an engagement session that brought together fintech founders, technology partners, payment service providers and other stakeholders to discuss ways of improving collaboration and driving innovation in the country’s financial services sector.
The event also served as an opportunity for the bank to appreciate the support of its partners and reinforce the relationships that have contributed to the growth of digital banking in Nigeria.
According to the bank, the engagement reflects its commitment to providing the infrastructure and support needed by fintech companies to expand their operations, improve service delivery and develop innovative financial solutions.
It noted that the increasing demand for secure, reliable and scalable financial services has made stronger partnerships and technology investments more important than ever.
Wema Bank disclosed that it processed more than ₦18 trillion in transactions across its platforms over the past 12 months, highlighting the level of support it provides to businesses and fintech operators.
The bank said its digital solutions, including virtual accounts and payment Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), are helping partners manage collections, disbursements and real-time transaction monitoring more efficiently.

“Our partners are not just customers; they are collaborators in building the future of financial services. We remain committed to providing the infrastructure, support and continuous innovation required to help them scale and succeed,” he said.
The engagement also gave participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss new opportunities and provide feedback that will help shape the bank’s future products and digital services.
